Easter

We had a great Easter. It was a beautiful sunny day, not very warm but it was just nice to see the sun.

After a great Easter lunch the girls anxiously awaited the Easter egg hunt.

They all found lots of eggs and ended the day on a happy sugar high.

The Next Project

Thank you Heidi for our latest project. We are now completely addicted to decorating our t shirts and soon there will not be a plain t shirt anywhere in our house. But we're having fun!

Thank You, Thank You

I just want to say a big ginormous THANK YOU to all my fabulously crafty friends. Not only did you give me some fantastic suggestions you made me feel like I wasn't alone and for that I will be eternally grateful. I miss all of you more than I can ever say. I love you guys (and your guts).

So we did finish our pajama pants and yes even Charlotte got a pair. And so we move on to our next project and cross another week off the calendar.

My Crafty Self

Now I know what your thinking and I am not talking about my usual crafty "try to take over the world" self. I actually did crafts! I have been trying to keep myself and the girls busy while David is away doing a clinical rotation in Syracuse (which means he stays up there for 4 days and is home for 3). So first I finished my yoga mat bag that I started a year ago.

I have to admit it turned out pretty darn awesome. It's made with recycled shopping bags that you melt to make them stronger and then piece them together (my fabulous quilter friend Heidi inspired me). Then I decided I needed a project to keep not only me busy but the kids too. So first we made and decorated cupcakes. But after eating 4 in succession, I really felt that if our projects were edible I might gain a thousand pounds. So then we moved on to pajama pants. The girls picked out the fabric and they helped me cut them out. Now we sew a little bit on them a few times a week.

And just a side note for those of you who are as paranoid as my mother. I sit right behind them the whole time they sew, so no needles go through their finger. It has been great! The kids have loved it and I have wanted to strangle them LESS.

But we are almost done so I'm sending a plea out to all my much craftier friends I need some more ideas. David will be gone for 6 more weeks so in order to keep me sane and the kids alive I need HELP!!

Spring Has Arrived!!

I bet you were expecting something a bit cheerier and in truth, so was I. But in western New York when the temperature goes above 40 that is just about the cheeriest thing on earth. The crocuses are beginning to come up and you can hear the Canadian Geese honking as they fly back North. We even saw a squirrel... alive.

Tabitha's Baptism

I forgot to add this to my Christmas posts. While we were in Utah we baptized Tabitha. It was a wonderful experience for our whole family and I just wanted to thank all our family for making it so special for Tabitha and especially my big brother Richard and his family for hosting it for us. You all made it a day none of us will ever forget. Thank You
